Art by Visithra
My art is based on human behaviour and emotions. In the process of channelling these emotions, I created two different styles, one reflects on Ikigai (いきがい), the other on Ikari (いかり).
Ikigai means the reason to live. My art that reflects on ikigai is dominated by art created in the modern Indian art style. The art often taps into psychology theories by Carl Jung and visualized using Asian symbolism that often has shared symbolism in various cultures and religions. The art often looks at self-awareness and spirituality and how to look within to find one’s self and reach higher self-awareness. For our ikigai is often a search for self-awakening.
Ikari means anger, wrath, exasperation. I use Expressionism styled art that is inspired by FN Souza and Michael Basquiat to draw on the Ikari in life. Here I visualize societies social, moral and political issues that cause harm and grief to human lives. There is anger, sadness, depression and darkness.
The style now also includes optimistic derivatives of the NFT community projects and culture. This art is in a way a tribute and documentation of these extraordinary times we live in - or the Ikigai and Ikari of the NFT world.
IKIGAI + IKARI
I consider all collectors of my art a part of a big family that is an integral part of my journey. For the next stage of the collection, I’m creating a reward system with a little game incentive.
In order to benefit from the game, You will need to hodl and collect 3 Ikigai art and 3 Ikari art from the collection. This will create a complete balance, as life is but a balance of Ikigai and Ikari. The game will be divided into two categories – the 1/1 collectors and the edition collectors.
Those that collect 3 Ikigai + 3 Ikari 1/1 art in the main Visithra collection will receive one 1/1 NFT as a gift.
Those that collect 3 Ikigai + 3 Ikari edition art in the Visithra/ Vissyuga will receive one edition of a 5/5 as a gift.
Those that collect 1/1 art from the new contract or Superrare will receive a letters from Visithra series edition
Those that collect any 6 editions or vissyuga will receive a letters from Visithra series edition
Once collected, please contact me on Twitter (@vissyarts) to let me know you have completed the collection.
Once a set has received its reward, the collector can choose to sell them. In order to collect another reward, they will need to collect another set of 6 that were not in the previous set.
The Catch? The collection is and will always be imbalanced. Currently there are more Ikari art than Ikigai .
Terms
You can own the same editions of an art. Each will be counted as 1 to reach the complete 6 edition set.
The gifted airdrop edition Darkness will not be included for the rewards
All derivatives and some NFT tributes are ikigai.
Holders can combine those in multiple accounts to claim the reward
Editions cannot be burned to create 1/1 NFTs but a holder of the complete editions of one art can count the total as a 1/1 NFT
Collectors can include art collected from Foundation but not from any future collections in Opensea.
Art in Foundation purchased in Opensea/ Looksrare with no record of royalties to creator will not be included in the reward.
Note: any transfers (except owner self accounts), private sales that happen without royalties will not be included in the giveaway.
Rules may also be changed in the future, once the collection is complete in Opensea.
